橋の中でもっとも細く今にも崩れそうなアーチ部分は、2003年の十勝沖地震でこの状態になってから、10年、20年と持ちこたえています。
Seven years ago today, the Taushubetsu River Bridge was shrouded in fog. The narrowest and most fragile arch of the bridge, which has been in this precarious condition since the 2003 Tokachi-oki earthquake, has remarkably withstood the test of time for decades.
