夏が近づいても糠平湖の水位が低い状態が続いた9年前。6月下旬になっても沈まない湖底は草原に変わり、例年であれば水に浸かっているはずのタウシュベツ川橋梁もまだ姿を見せていました。
Nine years ago, as summer approached, the water level in Nukabira Lake remained low. Even by late June, the usually submerged lakebed had transformed into a grassland, and the Taushubetsu Bridge, which typically would be underwater, was still visibly standing.
