〈白一色の冬から土色の春へ〉
7年前の今日、2018年3月18日の糠平湖は、もうだいぶ氷が割れていて、春の足音がはっきりと感じられる風景だった。冬のあいだ広がっていた白一色の単調な世界が少しずつ崩れ、土や水面をちらちらと見せはじめる。そんな変化を見ると、ここがダム湖だという事実にあらためて気づかされる。
雪解けが進むこの時期になると、景色は日ごとに移り変わる。冬に飽きはじめるころに訪れる春。うまくできている自然の変化に感心してしまう。
Seven years ago today, on March 18, 2018, Lake Nukabira was already showing clear signs of spring—the ice had cracked quite a bit. The once all-white, almost monotonous winter scene was slowly breaking apart, revealing patches of earth and open water. It really drives home the fact that this is a dam lake.
Once the snow starts melting around this time, the landscape changes literally day by day. When you’re just starting to feel tired of winter’s unbroken white, spring steps in at exactly the right moment. It’s hard not to be impressed by how naturally everything transitions, as if it's all perfectly planned.
